Powermat Spindle Repair

WEINIG USA now offers a factory trained and certified technician armed with the knowledge and ability necessary for proper Powermat Spindle repair.
Our Certified Powermat Spindle repair program works as follows:

• PURCHASE a new or rebuilt spindle from WEINIG.
• RETURN your spindle in need of repair to the WEINIG Repair Shop.
• CREDIT will be given according to the condition of your exchange spindle returned. Credit offered will be:
• $500 credit if the spindle has locked-up or discolored from excessive heat, and with little or no useable parts.
• $1000 credit if the spindle has locked-up, but no damage is done to any components other than housing and bearings.
• $2000 credit if only replacement of bearings is required.

As you can see, replacement of a spindle BEFORE it becomes totally inoperable makes economical sense in the fact that more credit is allowed towards the replacement spindle, with little machine down time. It also makes good business sense to gain the peace of mind that is available from this program, knowing that your moulder spindles are in optimal operating condition.

Standard Moulder Spindle Repair

Whether for preventive maintenance or accidental damage, the WEINIG Bench Repair Service can repair or rebuild spindles to the exact factory tolerances with guaranteed precision. Periodically, we can also offer “specials” on new or rebuilt spindles.

In-House Component Rebuild

Cutterheads are an important and valuable component of your operation. What do you do when one becomes damaged? WEINIG’s Bench Repair Service can help. We can re-sleeve hydro-heads, check and re-balance damaged cutterheads, and perform general overall reconditioning. We also repair hydro grease guns, grinding spindles, gear boxes and jointer blocks.

Precision Balancing

Precise balance is critical to high-speed component performance and service life. Cutterheads should be re-balanced when hydro sleeves are replaced, or when heads are accidentally nicked by improper grinding procedures. Re-balancing a cutterhead now will quickly pay for itself in better quality finish and reduced downtime in the future. The same is true for cutting spindles. All repaired cutterheads and cutting spindles are precision balanced for true running accuracy on our in-house balancing machines.
