The OptiCut S700

Saving material, saving money and saving time are crucial to a healthy bottom line, and the Dimter OptiCut S700 will save all three when you're working with engineered I-joists.

Known throughout the industry as the universal solution for large cross-sections, the OptiCut S700 will automatically, and safely, optimize and cut up to 64-foot engineered I-joists. By batching multiple jobs, the S700 can decrease your inventory and increase your yield - so the larger the cut bill, the greater the gain.

Featuring a Windows-based touch screen control, the saw system automatically links to a variety of common engineering programs. The cut list is automatically imported into the OptiCom terminal. The operator controls the production with a single touch.

With its integrated identification technology, the S700 prints numbers, text or codes directly onto the workpiece or on bar-coded labels. That simplifies warehouse identification and order-based assignment, as well as facilitating product-based logistics.

The optional KOMO SpeedCut router enables cutting of mechanical and HVAC holes in joists in a single operation. The system offers a positioning accuracy of 1/64".

  • Infeed systems up to 65 ft. in length.
  • Extended width package up to 27".
  • Manual or fully automatic material handling.
  • Angle or Bevel cutting options.
  • Inkjet marking for easy jobsite identification.
  • Heavy duty 20 HP saw motor for effortless cutting of rim board.
  • Optional 4 position tool changer for router with powerful 12 HP spindle.

HVAC and utility holes can be cut out prior to shipping or "tabbed" so they can be easily knocked out on the jobsite.

Automated infeed and outfeed systems, along with stacking/banding options are available for increased productivity prior to shipping.
