Measuring and setting systems
have never been faster or easier!
Production runs are getting smaller and the number
of profiles to be run every day is increasing.
Just-In-Time production methods are now a
requirement, not just added efficiency.
Weinig has multiple systems to reduce setup time and
improve efficiency and accuracy. The OptiControl
Measuring System is where it starts. Measure
cutterheads after resharpening in the tool room and
the next setup is just as accurate as the last.
The simple Memory System that is standard on
some models can make a setup as easy as dialing a
phone. Memory System can be used on manual
machines or with motorized axes like the width and
thickness to make changing sizes a matter of
pressing a button.
The newest control system,
EasyCom is an easy-to-use solid state touch
screen PC for CNC control of some or all axes on
most moulder models. There is no system available
that is more intuitive for quick setups and repeated
profiles. An included camera automatically inputs
pictures of profiles and tools to avoid mixups and
errors.
The PowerCom system that uses Windows-based PC's to link the
grinding room to multiple moulders takes this one
step further, allowing automatic update of
re-sharpened tools, unlimited profiles, motorized
control of some or all of the cutting elements on
any of our models.
It will even display the profile drawing for
operator reference at the machine. Standard
networking methods allow connection to an office PC
for detailed production and efficiency reports as
well as job scheduling and tracking. |
