Control engineering is becoming increasingly more
important for all wood processing machines. The best
example is the OptiCut series from DIMTER. "OptiCom
Direct" is the control that makes handling easier.
It is so easy to operate that anyone can do it right
away - intuitively - and in any language in the
world.
The optimization algorithm in the OptiCom control
has never been beaten in head-to-head tests for the
most cost-effective calculation of the optimization
solution on each and every board.
But incredible software is only as reliable as the
system it runs on. OptiCom has no moving parts. No
hard drives to fail. All data is stored on flash
memory cards so that the OptiCom performs reliably
in less than ideal conditions and with unreliable
power supply problems.
What distinguishes the latest generation of controls
from their predecessors? The most important
keywords:

Network
capability: The machine can be integrated
into an existing network just like a normal PC.
This makes data transmission extraordinarily
easy.

Remote
diagnostics: If the customer doesn't know
how to proceed, a technician no longer has to go
on-site. Remote diagnostics makes it possible
for the technician to immediately and completely
analyse the machine along with all of its
signals. A dirty light barrier, a missing
parameter, or even user error - nothing remains
hidden - and everything can usually be corrected
immediately.

Different
languages: Regardless of the what language
the user speaks. The user simply switches - via
pushbutton - to the language desired. Only
DIMTER machines have this option with crosscut
saws – no one else has this feature!

Memory
capacity: The control has sufficient
resources – 500 product groups each with up to
350 lengths can be stored resulting in no
bottlenecks in memory.
