The Conturex consists of two processing units
working in tandem and two tool changers that can be
equipped with any type of tool required.
But the real advantage of the Conturex is the
development of the Weinig PowerGrip clamping system.
The patented PowerGrip clamping system mimics the function of
the human hand. Even as the workpiece is handed over
from station to station, the PowerGrip units
apply precise yet damage free clamping of the piece
at the correct point.
No jigs, no screws, no spoil boards. Absolute
positioning accuracy for maximum quality. The two
stations work in tandem. As the piece is handed to
station 2 for remaining processing, station 1 is
changing tools for the next piece with no loss of
production time. Two clamping tables mean that all 6
sides of any workpiece can be machined at either
station - or both stations - without any human
intervention.
The Conturex is specifically designed to
permit rapid and flexible processing of a variety of
job orders, even a production run of a single piece.
AlphaCAM ensures simple and rapid programming.
Specialty features just for the Conturex have
been added to the CAD/CAM software. The processing
work is shown as a 3D simulation, informing you of
any imperfect contours. Even the production times
are displayed, allowing you to plan in advance. The
simple touch-screen interface at the machine is as
simple to operate and user-friendly as possible.
