WEINIG GROUP underlines its competence in System Solutions

Beginning in 2008 DIMTER , part of the WEINIG GROUP, will install another state of the art, fully automated Optimizing System. The market leader for solid wood processing machines offers an integrated solution from start to finish and proves to be the only company to fulfill the strict criteria for overall capacity and quality requirements needed.

To reach the desired overall capacity it is crucial to have a seamless link between all the automation components of such a complex system. The automation components of the WEINIG GROUP that includes a tilt hoist and unscrambling system are the first step in the production line.

Before the optimizing is done, the parts have to be checked for metal inclusions and the moisture content is being measured at the same time. Once checked and accepted, the next step in the production line is the WACO Hydromat 5000 at a speed of 330ft/min, where the parts are being planed and ripped.

Dimter Opticut 450 optimizing crosscut saw. The fastest chop saw in the world

The next step is the separation and a rough visual check of the work pieces before they are introduced into the main process, the high-speed length optimization on multiple DIMTER OptiCut 450 Quantum high speed cross-cut saws.

After the first successful demonstration and market introduction beginning in 2007 at the DIMTER Open house in Illertissen, Germany , the High Speed Cross-Cut line was successfully installed in the United States. The system is one of the fastest cross-cut production line available.

The system is configured with reliable and modular automation components. Each component is part of a standard automation kit. These standard components are linked together to meet the customers production, quality and manufacturing requirements.

The automation feeds reliably at maximum productivity through one scanner and distributes to three (3) OptiCut saws at a pace of up to 67 boards per minute.

For easier material handling after the three OptiCut 450 Quantum saws, DIMTER will also deliver four OptiCut Stacker systems to stack pieces from all three lines simultaneously. Preferred lengths up to 2750mm can reliably be stacked on pallets. If the production list requires the speed, the stackers can handle more than 250 pieces per minute.

DIMTER has the Total Solution in solid wood for automated defecting and crosscutting and strengthens its market position in the growing automation segment.
