Occasionally, we find someone who
encourages us to be more than we are, to reach beyond
our grasp, to envision ourselves making a greater
contribution. When we recall the impact such people had
on our lives, we are compelled to keep their legacy
alive.
In this tradition, WoodLINKS USA is
establishing The Hilchie Twichell Yow Memorial
Scholarship (in memory of Larry Hilchie, Howard
Twichell, and Sharon Yow), endowing one student per
year, with the amount of $1,000.00 towards his/her
studies in woodworking technologies. WoodLINKS USA has
the educational, trade, and professional ties to the
woodworking industry to make it the logical choice for
administering the scholarship program.
We hope that you will show your
support for the mentors you had by considering a
sponsorship at one of the levels below:
$25-Acorn $50-Seedling
$75-Branch $100-Limb $250-Bough
$500-Trunk
WEINIG ignited a needed spark by initiating this
scholarship. Now that the flame is burning, let’s carry
the torch forward together! Just remember, with
nourishment, sunlight and time, even the smallest acorn
can become a mighty oak.
The same is true of your
contributions to The Hilchie Twichell Yow Memorial
Scholarship. Together, our contributions can grow
into something larger with far reaching results—like
supporting and encouraging a student with his/her
education in woodworking technology.
