Weinig's New Chairman Visits US Subsidiaries
The newly named Chairman of the WEINIG Management Board, Wolfgang Poeschl, along
with outgoing Chairman, Walter Fahrenschon, recently visited the company's US subsidiaries.
Following 16 years of service to the company, culminating with the position of
CEO / Chairman of the Board, Walter Fahrenschon has begun the transition into
his new role as a consultant for Weinig.
Wolfgang Poeschl, who joined the WEINIG organization March 1, 2010 became Chairman
of the Management Board effective July 15. In a staff meeting this week, Poeschl
praised the foresight of Fahrenschon and the Supervisory Board in WEINIG's
acquisition of HOLZHER. He further stated that, together, WEINIG and HOLZHER
will have the capacity and innovative capability to address customers' challenges
with a previously inconceivable market presence.
HOLZHER was acquired by WEINIG in April 2010. HOLZHER US will finalize its
relocation of manpower and material from Charlotte to WEINIG's Mooresville
facility later this year.
